Founded in December 2023, REACH (Raising Exposure and Awareness to Careers in Healthcare) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to broadening knowledge about the vast opportunities in the healthcare sector. Our foundation stems from a collective of enthusiastic medical, pharmacy, dental, physician associate, and health professional students from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

At REACH, we are committed to serving students across Arkansas, especially targeting underserved communities where information and resources about healthcare careers are scarce. By visiting elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as colleges and aftercare facilities, we engage directly with students to inspire and mentor them. Our programs not only provide information about the different paths available in healthcare education but also include hands-on activities that allow students to experience aspects of healthcare professions first-hand.

Our volunteers, who are themselves emerging healthcare professionals, share their journeys and insights, helping to illuminate the practical steps needed to pursue various healthcare careers. These personal interactions aim to demystify the profession and spark interest among young individuals, encouraging them to consider careers in this vital field.
